Group Fitness Experience
Paulette Young is a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor. She has been teaching various formats of group exercise classes for over 20 years, and now specializes in Pilates, Yoga, and Core strengthening formats. She began teaching aerobics classes while attending college, enjoyed it so much, that she became very committed to staying active and healthy, as well as promoting fitness. She is certified by the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America, and is also a Registered Yoga Teacher, through Yoga Alliance. She received her 200 hour certificate at Yoga Studio Carlsbad, and her Pilates certification from John Garey, who now owns and operates a premier Pilates studio in Long Beach.
Paulette graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, and worked for many years as an artist, painting murals and large inflatable balloons for a company in El Cajon. She still likes to oil paint and airbrush in her spare time. Her true passion is in teaching, and helping others to achieve their fitness goals, a truly rewarding profession. She places great emphasis on the Kripalu Style of Yoga, which honors the wisdom of the body.
Paulette and her husband enjoy the outdoors especially during desert season. They enjoy going hiking, camping, and riding ATV bikes in the desert. Paulette believe that fitness is a commitment, and an invaluable way to promote health, happiness, and well-being. She also teaches multi-level classes at Cuyamaca College, Valley Athletic Club, 24 HR Fitness, and Body Awareness Yoga Studio.
What is your favorite thing about the ARC?
The atmosphere is friendly and very welcoming. The members are so appreciative of each instructor’s knowledge and assistance. |
