Q: What
is the difference between sport clubs and varsity sport
programs?
A: The sport clubs program is partially funded
by the Associated Students at SDSU. Additional funding
is obtained through fundraising events and activities
as well as alumni and corporate contributions. Team
members may also be required to pay yearly dues which
help to offset the cost of team travel, equipment, uniforms
and officiating expenses.

Q: Where
do sport clubs meet?
A: SDSU sport clubs meet, practice and compete
in a variety of locations on and off campus. Most clubs
utilize campus facilities such as the Aztec Recreation
Center, Peterson Gym, Hardy Field, Sports Deck, and
the turf fields located adjacent to Tony Gwynn Stadium.
Others use auxiliary facilities off campus such as the
Mission Bay Aquatic Center or the Ray and Joan Kroc
Center in San Diego. Facility usage depends on the nature
of the team and their requirements for practice space.
Practices at SDSU are usually held between 3:00pm and
9:00pm Monday through Friday, while practices at Mission
Bay are generally held early mornings.
