The Aztec Recreation Center (ARC) is an 80,000 square foot fitness facility offering sports and fitness facilities and programming to Aztec Recreation members.
Rec Classes are progressive small group programs in martial arts, dance, sports, fitness and wellness designed to educate and develop the skills to maximize your enjoyment of an activity.
Aztec Aquaplex features two large outdoor solar-heated pools, a 20-person spa and two full-service locker rooms on 50,000 square feet of sunny San Diego State University. Access to the Aquaplex is included in Aztec Recreation membership.
Aztec Lanes is SDSU’s bowling and games center located on the first floor of the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. Participants enjoy 12 bowling lanes outfitted by Brunswick as well as billiards, table tennis and big-screen TVs. Aztec Recreation members bowl free and pay only $1 shoe rental.
Mission Bay Aquatic Center is one of the world’s largest instructional waterfront facilities offering a variety of programs in watersports including wakeboarding, sailing, surfing, stand up paddling, waterskiing, rowing, kayaking, wakeboarding and windsurfing.
The Recreation Field, completed in August 2016, features state-of-the art turf and lighting systems. The new AstroTurf (R) technology provides lowered field temperatures and maximum shock reduction for participants. This Green built space also utilizes highly focused LED lighting that minimizes shadows and power consumption. The Recreation Field is available daily for drop-in recreation hours and is located north of SDSU Parking Structure 12.
Racquetball is the hidden gem of Aztec Recreation membership. Located on the east side of Peterson Gymnasium, this sports facility houses eight racquetball courts and a mat room for martial arts. Racquetball equipment is available for check out including rackets, balls and goggles.
The SDSU Tennis Courts are part of the Aztec Aquaplex complex; it’s SDSU’s swim and tennis club available to Aztec Recreation members. Rackets and balls are available for check out with a valid I.D.
The track at SDSU is a shared facility and is made available to Aztec Recreation members up to six hours per week during the academic year. This beautiful quarter mile track rests atop a parking structure and features a natural grass field, stadium seating and state-of-the-art NCAA approved athletic rubber track surface.
