Sport Clubs
The SDSU Sport Club Program consists of 16 competitive collegiate club teams. Each club team is developed, organized, and managed by students with guidance from the Intramural & Sport Club Coordinator, the Asst. Intramural & Sport Club Supervisor and club team coaches. The emphasis for sport club activities is leadership. Sport Clubs thrive only by obtaining active student involvement and participation from club team leaders and its members.

SDSU Sports Clubs Donate Canned Food
The SDSU Sports Clubs donated over 500 canned and non-perishable food items to the San Diego Food Bank through a food drive they conducted over fall semester. The Sports Club teams were able to gather items by offering discounted admission to their home competitions for canned items brought, as well as personal contributions made by the athletes themselves. During these bleak economic times and winter season, the Sports Club Executive Council identified the San Diego Food Bank as a charity in need. SDSU Sports Clubs are comprised of 18 competitive sport teams whose student-athletes represent SDSU in various sports including Lacrosse, Rugby, Surfing, Ice Hockey, and more.

NEWSLETTER
Our schedule is not completely made yet, but some teams we play every year are UCSD, USD, University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Chico State and UC Davis. Our alumni game is going to be on January 23rd, 2010 at the turf fields. Its always fun for spectators and players alike. We have a new coach this year, Caitlin Navor, who has played at the D1 level and club level. Since we only lost 1 senior last year, our team has is full of returners and great chemistry and we are only getting better at communicating with eachother on offense and defense with each practice. Our division in WWLL (Western Women's Lacrosse League) consists of University of Arizona, Arizona State, USD, UCSD and SDSU. We finished #1 in our division the past 2 seasons, and made it to the WWLL Championships in 2009. Things are only looking up for SDSU women's lacrosse.
