In this course, students will learn the basics of outdoor recreation.  The focus of the course will be for students to practice and gain confidence in their outdoor skill sets.  Activity based topics will include basic outdoor skills such as navigation, shelter building, knot tying, water purification, dressing for the activity, equipment lists, leave no trace, and other basic outdoor skills.  At the end of this course students will be able to plan and execute an outdoor day trip.
