REGISTRATION:
The ENS 138 Intro to swimming course is designed to teach students basic swimming strokes and skills needed to stay safe in the around the water. Students will learn floating, proper body positions, and breath control techniques. Students will also be introduced to learning the all four (4) competitive swim strokes, including front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and butterfly. Students will also learn the basic water safety skills like treading water and swimming with a USCG approved life jacket. By the end of the course students should have a general understanding of water safety skills and all four (4) competitive swim strokes.
REQUIRED COURSE PREREQUISITES: Students must be comfortable swimming/ being in the water for approximately 45 minutes.
