Adapted Athletics Track & Field

The San Diego State University Adapted Athletics Ambulatory Track and Field team was formed in fall 2018. Under the guidance of U.S. Paralympic Track and Field, the national governing body (NGB) for the sport, the team functions as a training incubator and competes in the open division across various collegiate track meets throughout Southern California. Each year the team competes at the U.S. Paralympic Track and Field Nationals (USPTF). Top athletes from USPTF are selected to represent Team U.S.A. at the upcoming Junior World Championships, Para Pan American, World Championships, and Paralympic Games. Our team has five High School All-American appearances, two Junior World Championship appearances, two Para Pan American Games appearances, three American Record Holders and a World Recorder Holder.
