The San Diego State University Adapted Athletics Wheelchair Tennis Team started in Fall of 2018. The team typically plays in 4-6 tournaments in the spring competitive season. Governed by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) & International Wheelchair Tennis Federation (IWTF), the wheelchair tennis team competes against approximately 30 other colleges and universities from across the United States. At the USTA Collegiate Wheelchair Tennis National Championships, the team has consistently finished top five in the U.S., taking 4th overall in 2021 and 2nd overall in 2019.
