Get ready to sweat, sculpt, and relive the best hits of the 2010s! This high-energy barre sculpt class blends strength, toning, and core work with nonstop throwback jams you know and love. Expect small, controlled movements, pulses, and burns that challenge your body while keeping the vibe fun and motivating.

Makayla is an undergraduate student at SDSU majoring in Criminal Justice. Makayla has loved sports and fitness since the day she was born, growing up playing soccer, basketball, softball, and taekwondo. She holds a Third-Degree Black Belt in taekwondo and began teaching fitness back home in 2021 by teaching martial arts and fitness kickboxing classes to both children and adults! She obtained her ACE Group Fitness Instructor certification after completing the ENS 138 Group Fitness Instructor Training course. Makayla now loves to spend her time running (currently doing marathon training), working out, spending time with family, and being at the beach. She believes fitness should be something that people enjoy and look forward to, which is what she hopes students feel after taking her classes. She is also a firm believer in the importance of self-defense and hopes to implement more self-defense classes into the Group Fitness class schedule!
